The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state on Wednesday has fixed a resumption date for the completion of 2019/2020 academic session, DAILY GIST is reporting.
The management in the same vein announced the mode of conduct for second semester academic activities.
DAILY GIST had reported that the university senate fixed Wednesday, June 16th to decide on the mode of conduct for the academic activities of second semester.
According to the management, the resumption date for the commencement of academic activities is Monday June 21st, 2021.
The Dean of student affairs, Prof. I. O. Aransi confirmed the date to DAILY GIST shortly after the Senate meeting ended on Wednesday.
Speaking with DAILY GIST, Prof. Aransi said the mode of conduct for second semester would be physical amidst COVID-19 situation in the country.
He disclosed that all students are resuming for physical classes, he however noted that classes larger than 250 students are expected to be done virtually as a result of COVID-19.
The management is expected to release a circular on the development and a new adjusted carlender anytime from now
