The authorities of Benin Republic said they would dock him for the alleged forgery.

it was gathered that Igboho’s wife who was also arraigned on Thursday has been released on Thursday evening.

The court directed its officials to return the passport and other documents seized from the wife of the activist, Ropo Igboho

However, The Court D’Apeal in Cotonou, Benin Republic on Thursday ordered that Igboho should be returned to prison and adjourned his trial till Monday, July 26.

DAILY GIST gathered that the development was to allow the Nigerian Government to file extradition charges and bring up whatever evidence they may have.

According to reports, security agents have obtained dozens of ‘exclusive’ videos where Igboho allegedly issued inciting statements that may aid Nigeria in filing treasonable and felony charges against him.

A top-ranking operative of one of the intelligence agencies disclosed that the video clips will suffice as their evidence in nailing Igboho before a law court.

Apart from behind the scene scheming of security agencies, the Attorney General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami is yet to unveil the Ministry’s strategies towards the prosecution of Igboho.

President Muhammadu Buhari-led government wants the Yoruba activist extradited from Benin Republic Several after several attempts made by the Federal Government to arrest the activist failed.

Although, The Nigerian Government and security agencies in the country have refused to break thier silences since Sunday igboho was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Igboho if extradited to Nigeria may face charges related to treasonable felony for urging people to take up arms.

The activist in a video had boasted he could help to procure guns and that anybody caught with one should tell the authorities he made the provision.

Igboho had said “Those who don’t have guns, contribute money and buy guns for them. You can record me. If they don’t know where to buy gun, I will help them to buy it.

No government can say people should not carry weapons now. If they (youths) are caught, they should tell them that I, Igboho, provided the guns. The guns are to protect ourselves, we will fortify them with charms”, he added.

He could be charged under Section 37(1) (a) of the Criminal Code Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990, states to wit: “Any person who levies war against the state, in order to intimidate the president or the governor of a state is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death.”

Igboho had also in videos shared online raised a flag declaring the Yoruba Nation. A development that generated controversies among citizens. The activist has as well on the video said all borders in the Southwest region would be open as they now fall under the Yoruba nation.

Below is a compilation of videos where Sunday Igboho had made certain declarations before his arrest. The collated videos are said to have implicated the activist and may be used against him in Court.
