It is no longer a news that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi’s marriage has crashed again.
Queen Naomi in a statement on Thursday had announced her divorce from the monarch.
Naomi alleged the hypocrisy of the monarch, stating that Ooni’s public perception is different from his true character.
Naomi stated that she is no longer a slave to her thoughts of perfection.
She noted that her decision to move on was due to irreconcilable differences and not based on the decision of the monarch to marry another queen.
For many, the couple’s split came as a surprise while for others, they wondered about the monarch’s reoccurring separations from his wives.

1. Adebukola Bombata
Before becoming King, the Ooni married for the first time in 2008. Adebukola Bombota was his first wife
She was his wife at the time he ascended the throne in 2015. It is reported that Bombata was against the Ooni’s decision to join the race for the throne.
The couple, however, split after the Ooni’s coronation. She reportedly moved to the United Kingdom after their separation. They were married for seven years.
2. Zaynab Otiti Obanor
Shortly after becoming King in 2016, the Ooni married Olori Wuraola Zainab, a Benin native.
It didn’t take long before rumours of cracks in the marriage began to filter the air. In 2017, Obanor filed for divorce from the monarch. The divorce was finalised that same year. It is not clear if they had any children together.
3. Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi
In 2018, the Ooni wedded Olori Naomi Silekunola, a well-known prophetess.
There were several eyebrows about their union because of her religious faith.
In 2020, the couple welcomed their first son together. Shockingly, on December 23rd, Queen naomi, announced her divorce from the monarch.
Although they were never married, the first-class Yoruba monarch, it was gathered has a 29-year-old daughter with Omolara Olatunbosun. When the daughter was conceived, they were both teenagers.
