A hit-and-run driver, has confessed to killing the missing Vanguard reporter, Tordue Salem.
The killer is Identified to be itoro Clement.
It would be recalled that Salem was declared missing since October 13, DAILY GIST reports.
Until his sudden disappearance and subsequent death, Salem was the correspondent of Vanguard Newspaper in the National Assembly.
The missing journalist was found dead in Abuja on Thursday, November 11, an evening after he went missing on Wednesday, 13th October 2021.
Parading the suspect on Friday at the IRT premises in Abuja, Itoro said he hit Salem at the Mabushi area on October 13 and sped off.
Explaining why he killed the Journalist, Itoro, 29, a native of Akwa Ibom State, said he was driving around Mabushi bring in the night when he knocked down a pedestrian, for fear of being lynched, he fled.
According to him, his car was damaged and he fixed it the following day and continued his business.
The young man said he didn’t stop because he thought the salem was an armed robber.
