Members of the have Organised Labour unions comprising of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress(TUC) have pulled down the main gate of the National assembly complex.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had announced the commencement of the protests, amid hardship caused by the removal of subsidy on petrol.
When the protesters arrived at the national assembly complex on Wednesday, the gates were locked by security officials.
The protesters forced their way into the complex by pulling down the gate.
Presently, protesters are gathered in the premises of the national assembly in the presence of heavy security operatives.
Similar protest is taken place across the country
