An Ekiti-based cook, Dmilola Adeparusi has embarked on marathon cooking in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State to beat Hilda Baci’s record.
Hilda though is still awaiting the confirmation of her 100hrs record-breaking cook-a-thon from Guinness World Records.
Damilola, who is attempting to break Hilda’s record, began her journey on June 9, 2023.
Damiola’s quest to clinch the world record-breaking title of non-stop cooking by a single individual is coming less than a month after chef Hilda Baci completed her yet-to-be-verified cook-a-thon in 100 hours.
While some internet users frowned at the action of Adeparusi tagging it as sabotage of the achievement of a fellow countrywoman.
However, others have hailed her for looking towards achieving such a great feat.
Recall that Hilda trended in May after beating Indian chef Lata Tondon’s 87 hours and 45 minutes record achieved in September 2019.
Damilola is attempting to break Hilda’s unofficial record.
