A Nigerian lady, Joyce Ijeoma attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest massage has collapsed during the record-breaking feat.
Ijeoma was attempting to set a 72-hour record but could only get a 50-hour record.
She collapsed during a massage session which was recorded live on social media.
DAILY GIST gathered that she started the marathon massage on Saturday, July 1, 2023 and collapsed on Monday, July 3, 2023.
A trending video circulating online showed that by the 50th hour, at about 1:30 a.m., she slumped from exhaustion.
Alastair Galpin currently holds the record for the longest full-body massage at 25 hours and 4 minutes. It was held in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, in November 2015.
Since Ijeoma went for 50 hours, it’s possible that she has broken the World Record albeit painstakingly.
She achieved a total of 53 hours when her body gave in at around 1 am.
A female third party, in a clip from the GWR attempt, hurried in to resuscitate her.
As of the time of publishing this report, Ijeoma’s live video of the GWR attempt had already been cut.
