Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has returned to Nigeria from Germany after about three months of medical leave.
Akeredolu had embarked on a medical trip to Germany following his worsening illness.
Akeredolu notified the Ondo State House of Assembly that he was embarking on medical leave from June 7th, 2023 to July 6th 2023, saying he had transmitted power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
It was gathered that the governor is presently in Ibadan at his private residence where he would be taking some rest.
A photo of the governor on board a private aircraft was also posted by his wife, Betty Ayanwu Akeredolu, on Thursday.
The governor announced his decision to embark on the medical trip on June 7 with the expectation to return on July 6.
But his prolonged stay caused uproar and controversy in the state as members of the opposition parties demanded the true position of his health.
