There is currently pandemonium in Ikorodu, Lagos State as some police officers have reportedly killed an unidentified soldier in the area.
The incident happened at the border town of Ogijo, between Ogun State and Lagos State.
According to reports, the policemen ran away to Ogijo Police Station when they discovered the victim was an officer.
Details of the incident are still sketchy, but multiple reports claim there’s heavy military presence in the area, and gunshots are being heard.
The soldier was killed at Odogunyan by policemen, he was in mufti. Immediately they realised he was an officer, they ran away to Ogijo police station.
A police station and vehicles were said to have been set ablazed by the angry soldiers.
“The soldiers mobilised to the station and burnt a danfo (bus) belonging to the police. There is chaos along Lagos/Sagamu Road. People are rushing home, shops closed,”a source said.
