Technology provides accuracy which makes it impossible for any form of error in the teaching learning process. It saves time as lots of different topics are covered already ranging from researches to simple day to day questions. It bridges the gap of lack of books for some particular courses in these rural area as few of them has book shops and or library for researches and the likes. They navigate through sites in search of infomation without having to rely on the teachers and elders for limited and false information thereby prompting their intelligence and skills even more.
Also, the use of technology opens a wide source of connectivity to rural students and other students round the region. Technology doesn’t just connect, it creates an avenue for people from different walks of life to share ideas, know and learn form each other. Using the popular audio visual gadgets one could as well bond with a stranger merely by discussing online. Friendship with similar ideas are forged this same way.
In addition, most online companies like Google offers affordable online courses for all and sundry without any form of background or nationality bias. This is a good way to streamline inconsistency from rural students as these online courses could be studied at ones pace without having to worry about sudden and unplanned inconveniences. Equally it would give older and engaged students ample opportunity to meet up with their fellows in school without having to wait extra years or months.
The popular cliché which says “all works and no play makes Jack a dull boy” Is well considered in technology as there are multiple streams of educative and fun games. Students who engage themselves in these mind engaging games are likely to perform better in calculating courses. So, in as much that technology offers services it equally offers mind reliefing fun.
The benefits of Technology in rural area could clearly not be over-emphasised as it guides, direct, corrects and help students navigate past their physical boundary into a wider range. It gives room for a large audience as well for promoting of one’s personal, cultural and spiritual interests.
