A pathologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr. Sunday Shokunle who carried out autopsy on the body of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, insisted that the late student of Dowen College died of Septicemia (Sepsis, the clinical name for blood poisoning by bacteria).
Soyemi, who was being led in evidence by Director of Public Prosecution, Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), Dr. Babajide Martins, said his findings during the autopsy he carried out on the deceased indicated a generalised infection of the body.
Soyemi testified that the body of late student was brought to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on December 13, 2021, and he conducted an autopsy on him the following day in the presence of seven other pathologists.
