DAILY GIST in an exclusive interaction with Samson Adewale, who issued a press statement during the weekend said Governor Sanwo-Olu loves protecting his citizens, that it is wrong for anybody to assume the governor will harm his fellow citizens.
it is fake news and rumour mongers who did not mean well for Lagos. He said “Listen and listen good, Babajide Sanwo-Olu cannot turn around to harm the citizens he protected during the COVID-19 era, he is a good listener and a well-bred personality and no amount of gang-up and conspiracy against the administration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Deputy Governor, Femi Hamzat, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Tayo Ayinde and his team etc, will work! These are children of God.”
Prince Samson Adewale, Lagos State Vice Chairman of Conference of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), who is also the National Coordinator for Re-Awaken initiative of Nigeria (RAIN), has begged Lagosians, by stating that: “don’t allow yourself to be used to cause mayhem in Lagos again, don’t gang up and conspire against the administration of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team, because, God has carefully chosen them to lead Lagos state to the promise land.
For those calling on the Governor to resign, especially Chief Bode George, it’s just a cheap blackmail, we need to join hands with the governor at this time, all hands must be on deck to build Lagos back for our children and loved ones. We just need to continue supporting them with prayers to build back the Lagos of our dream.
Samson said the task before the Governor is so big, the destruction of government and private institutions is very alarming! “It pained me when I saw the magnitude of damages done to Lagos state institutions, it wouldn’t be a day thing to rebuild it back but I can assure you with the kind of technocrats the governor has as a team, it is a done deal! We need faith to welcome back Lagos to small London in no distant time.
Samson assures you all that the Governor, Sanwo-Olu, from what we have seen in the last one year he assumed office, he is a man of his words and always matches action with it.
We all can testify to how he followed up the COVID-19 pandemic, a man that stayed up all night without sleep, working round the clock to see how the life of Lagosians will be saved. He is a good listener, just as he promised you all, he has communicated your request to the president. The governor has even gone into action on his own capacity to start implementing some of your requests, we should give him a chance to attend to the rest, no need thinking of calling another protest.
Please we plead with you all not to turn Lagos into a war zone, don’t listen to mischief makers or rumour mongers and fake news carriers that can destroy our common goal of development that is on-going now.
Samson also pleads with the EndSars youths to be a good General who leads his troops to war and comes back with all or most of his soldiers, the war that ends on the negotiation table is the only war that achieves the purpose of the war itself. The government has set the stage for a major decisive and precise measure to attend to all requests. You have made your points as youths. The world now knows you are not lazy youths. The best option now is to articulate on the negotiation table.
The question we keep asking is, how did we get to the stage where we now think of destroying what we built with taxpayers’ money, our money, your money, all in the name of fighting for our right?
NLC and TUC never destroyed properties, they are well organized, the youth need to go back to the drawing board. Lagos should not even be a place for destruction, because the governor is a listening person who keeps to promises.
Samson Adewale also thanked the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Tayo Ayinde, and other members of his cabinet for supporting the governor in carrying out all the good works for him.
”Thank you governor for what you’re doing for Lagosians. Keep being who you are, the empathetic and performing governor that you are. You have proven that both can be done in our society.”he said
