Eight Universities Banned From Participating In NYSC [FULL LIST]

The National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, has banned graduates of eight foreign universities from participating in the 2021 Batch A orientation course of the service

This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director general of the NYSC and made available to Newsmen.

DAILY GIST gathered that the affected institutions are Al-Nahda International University (Niger Republic); Ecole Superieur Sainte Felicite (Benin Republic); Ecole Superieur D Administration et DEconomics (Benin Republic); Ecole Superieur DEnseignement Professionelle Le Berger – ESEP Le Berger (Benin Republic) and; Ecole Superieur St. Louis DAfrique (Benin Republic).

Others include Institute Superieur de Comm. Dord Et De Management – ISFOP (Benin Republic) and the International University, Bamenda (Cameroon).

Shuaib Ibrahim, director-general of the NYSC recently accused universities in the Benin Republic of presenting unqualified candidates for the one-year mandatory national service.

He noted that since his assumption of office, he realised that some of the corps members were returned by their employers to NYSC on the grounds that they were not qualified to teach or some them could not read and so on.
