President Muhammadu Buhari has landed in London, the United Kingdom for a routine medical checkup which will last for up to two weeks.
The president had departed Nigeria on Tuesday after an emergency security meeting with service chiefs.
The president and a few of his aides reportedly departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja for London at about 2.30 p.m on Tuesday
Those at the airport to bid the president farewell included the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Bello, Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu and other presidential aides.
In a video clip obtained by DAILY GIST, President Buhari was immediately led into a waiting car by the welcome team and his security details upon arrival in the wee hours of Wednesday
According to Femi Adesina, President Buhari is expected to be back in the country in the second week of April.
