A police escort has accidentally shot dead, a birthday celebrant and a guest while attempting to give a gunshot salute in Lagos.
The video obtained by DAILY GIST on Tuesday evening captured the moment the celebrant was seen in a money spray spree with friends before he was shot dead by his police escort.
It was gathered that the policeman was invited to provide security by the celebrant identified as Ifeanyi alias Asiwaju of Computer Village.
The unfortunate incident had occurred in a Lounge Called DA SILVA in Gowon estate of Lagos state.
Two persons were reportedly died from gunshot injuries, it was learnt.
The MOPOL who shot sporadically was believed to be under influence of alcohol.
While attempting to give the celebrant gun salute, the round selector was possibly on rapid firing resulting in losing control of the weapon, killing the celebrant and another guest on the spot.
The spokesman of the state police command, SP Benjamin confirmed the incident.
