The armed bandits who launched terror attack and abducted passengers on Abuja-Kaduna train have released pictures of the victims.

The pictures were released two weeks after a video of the captives went viral on social media.

DAILY GIST reported that the victims were abducted when bandits attacked a Kaduna-bound train on March 28.

Eight passengers were killed during the train attack, while a yet-to-be-confirmed number of persons were abducted.

Recall that in a video, the heavily armed terrorists had threatened to kill the passengers if the federal government fail to meet their demands.

The terroristss contacted several family members of the kidnapped passengers, demanding various amounts as ransom to facilitate the release of the captives.

The ransom reportedly demanded by the kidnappers ranges from N5 million to N100 million.

The bandits are also said to be demanding the release of 16 of their top commanders and sponsors in government custody in exchange for the hostages.

Alwan Hassan, acting managing director/chief executive officer of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), who was also abducted during the attack was later released by the bandits after family claimed they paid a ransom.

A video of the abductees appealing to the federal government for help had earlier surfaced on social media.

Following the release of the video, family members of the abducted victims had issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the federal government to ensure the safe rescue of the abductees.

The victims were abducted when bandits attacked a Kaduna-bound train on March 28.

Shortly after the footage was made public, relatives of the victims appealed to the Federal Government to do everything possible to ensure the release of their loved ones, but the passengers have been in captivity ever since.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government said its currently in talk with the terrorists to rescue the abducted victims.

In the released photographs, nearly 20 men were seen in a strange environment while another picture captured at least 18 women with five children.
