The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nasiru Idris, as winner of the 2023 governorship election in Kebbi State.
Idris was declared the winner by the Returning Officer for Kebbi State on Sunday in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Maj-Gen. Aminu Bande (retired).
It could be recalled that INEC had declared the Kebbi State governorship election inconclusive following the cancellation of results in polling units across 20 of the 21 local government areas of the state.
