A Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has reversed the life imprisonment of the Managing-Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Femi Olaleye.
DAILY GIST recalls in October 2023 that the Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Lagos convicted Olaleye on a two-count charge of defilement of a child and s*xual assault by penetration.
Following his conviction, Justice Rahman Oshodi had sentenced Olaleye to life imprisonment.
But the appellate court in a ruling on Friday voided the r@p£ conviction against the doctor.
The judge ruled that the lower court erred in its judgment.
It thereafter discharged and acquitted Olaleye.
