The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has withdrawn its partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated this on Saturday while answering to questions in an ongoing election conversation in Abuja.
Yakubu disclosed that sensitive electoral materials in the meantime will no longer be routed through Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN).
He further specifies that, starting with the governorship election in Ekiti state, INEC will not hold its sensitive materials with the CBN.
This move, he claims, is made to ensure that the electoral materials for the upcoming elections are not tampered with.
