Nigerians have been calling on President Muhammadu Buhari as a matter of urgency to engage external forces in order to get rid of the bokoharam and herdsmen killers that have taken over virtually all the areas of the northern part of Nigeria.

These murderers have also taken over major parts of the south to kidnap and kill innocent people. Just last week, a notable first class king was gunned down by these notorious terrorists while many other attacks like kidnappings were carried out all in Ondo state within the week in addition to the ones that happened in other states of the federation.

In that same week, scores of farmers were beheaded by these deadly group in their own farms where they had gone legitimately to fend for themselves and families as well as to heed the president’s directive in 2015 that everyone should engage in farming.

Though, in the government circle, it was announced that 43 farmers were the ones beheaded while it was reported to be over one hundred farmers that were killed, from other sources.
The menace of these dreaded groups have been so much that nobody can sleep in his own house happily nor move confidently on our roads any longer.
It is unacceptable to continue to watch innocent people being killed helplessly in their own place.

Just few weeks ago, it was reported that some American citizens were kidnapped by these terrorists and the American government sent their military down to Nigeria to rescue her kidnapped citizens.

Residents having been incessantly worried by the spate of killings and kidnappings going on in Ondo state in particular and Nigeria in general, wish to call on the federal government to invite the American government or any other country of the world that is willing, to rescue us from the hands of these dreaded groups.

It is high time we stopped playing lip service to these satanic security situations in Nigeria.
The Ondo state government is also advised to engage the militants from different  local governments in ondo to assist the state in getting rid of the menace of the armed robbery and kidnappings in the state.

It’s because of our belief that the menace has gone out of hand, and as people do say, desperate situation needs a desperate solution. Nobody can even walk freely in his or her compound again let alone sleeping with the two eyes closed or travelling freely to wherever he or she wants.

If these very powerful youths from the oil rich riverine areas of this state can be engaged and handsomely paid, I am sure that they have all it takes to take the fights to the dens of these dare devils and conquer them, thereby ridding our bushes and roads of these satanic terrorists.

We are aware that there is the existence of “Amotekun” which is the state government’s brainchild, but the inclusion of these militants will complement and lessen the works of the Amotekun which appears to be too herculean for them to handle.

Both the federal government and the Ondo state government should give these a good thought and invite these people for assistance and I can assure that the whole place will be happy for it.
