Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the host of Your View and Managing Director of TVC Entertainment, has announced her resignation after 12 years with the company to pursue “bigger dreams, bigger ideals, and things I always had passion for.”
In a video posted on her Instagram page on Friday, Afolabi-Brown confirmed she would be stepping down from both roles, with her final day on air set for August 29.
She stressed that “Nothing happened” to cause her departure, explaining, “I have put in my resignation as host of Your View on TVC. I’ve been host for the past 12 years and have also put in my resignation as MD, TVC Entertainment.”
Afolabi-Brown said she would be “drawing the curtains permanently on the show on my end and handing over to the amazing ladies of Your View, who have been doing such phenomenal work holding up the show.”
She expressed her hope to see the show become “better and bigger every single time” after her exit.
Afolabi-Brown thanked the management of TVC for helping her to “build my brand, build who I am.”
While she admitted the move is “scary but exciting,” she expressed gratitude to her fans, praying that they “continue to watch and sustain the growth of the show so that when we are all old, we are grateful for the opportunity that you gave to us.”
