It has been alleged that a closed circuit television (CCTV) has exposed the moment the founder of Oduduwa University and Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adedoyin was involved in the murder of postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke.
According to popular human right activist and Ibadan-based broadcaster, Oriyomi Hamzat, the CCTV obtained by police shows that Adegoke was killed at about 12am by Adedoyin, his son, Roheem Adedoyin and one Moshood, alleged to be an assistant to Adedoyin.
DAILY GIST reported that Adedoyin was arrested over alleged ritual killing of Timothy.
Adedoyin is the owner of Hilton Hotel and Resort in Ile-Ife.
The deceased, Timothy Adegoke according to report came from Abuja to sit for his examination at the OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State on November 5.
Adegoke who was declared missing on November 7, was found dead on Monday according to the OAU management.
Adegoke was found buried along Ife-Ede road after he was declared missing having lodged at the Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife.
The police had earlier arrested six suspects linked to the death of the student.
Osun State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode had said one of the suspects held in connection with the death of Timothy Adegoke confessed that son of the owner of Hiltons Hotels and Resorts, Ile-Ife, Roheem Adedoyin, arranged how the corpse was evacuated and taken to the bush.
He said Roheem, who is the Managing Director of the hotel where the late Adegoke reportedly died, organised how the corpse was evacuated from the facility and buried without informing the police.
All the suspects arrested in connection with the crime including Adedoyin have been transferred to Abuja.
In the course of investigation, the police revealed that Ramon Adedoyin’s son monitored the burial of Timothy Adegoke and that since the matter happened, he has been on the run.
However in a new development, Ramon Adedoyin was confirmed to be part of the people that carried out the act according to Oriyomi Hamzat
Hamzat according the CCTV obtained explained in the video that Timothy’s body was wrapped and put in a car before they drove him out of the hotel premises.
“We have seen the CCTV video. Three persons killed Timothy Adegoke. In the video, we saw that Adedoyin, his son, Roheem Adedoyin and Moshood, a close associate of Adedoyin entered that room where Adegoke was logging at about 12am.
“After some moments, you know they don’t put CCTV camera in rooms. We saw some things before we later saw them come out of the room with the body of Timothy Adegoke wrapped in white cloth and a paper. They later drove him out.”
Hamzat called on everyone that has information about the whereabouts of Roheem to come forward with it, adding that he has a sum of N500,000 as a compensation
