In a quest to grow TikTok followers through strip-teasing, a South African female soldier, Phindile Sleper has lost her uniform.
Phindile typically entertains her followers with videos of herself fully kitted in her army uniform. Her posts attract lots of comments, mostly from the menfolk who compliment her beauty.
However, the lady decided to take her content game a notch higher by carrying out a mock strip-tease while locked up in a room.
In the video, she removes her top, showing her bare belly, with her bra and camisole still in place to cover her bosom.
She then proceeds to remove her trousers and pretends as if she is going to remove her panties before stopping.
The video was a hit with her followers, who made it go viral, reaching her superiors.
She was reportedly handed a sack letter for what the army leadership called ‘unprofessionalism’.
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has subsequently released a formal warning to its members to maintain a professional image while wearing their official uniforms.
The force said behaviour, such as Phindile’s, was capable of undermining the professional image of the organisation.
SANDF reminded its members of the organisation’s code of conduct and social media guidelines, requesting them to abide by them.
The organisation said soldiers were expected to conduct themselves professionally both on and off duty. It said it would not hesitate to apply sanctions against anyone who went against the guidelines.
