Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola known by his stage name, Portable has reportedly survived an assassination attempt on Wednesday after encountering an gunman, in Ota, Ogun State.
A video seen by DAILY GIST shows Portable in a visibly distressed moment while also screaming that “They want to kill me!”
The video clip also shows the intense moment when a half-naked man, believed to be the assailant who was visibly beaten with blood in his mouth, was apprehended while holding a gun.
Onlookers were heard demanding answers, asking, “Who pulled the trigger?
However, the motive behind the attack remains unclear as of press time.
Portable, known for his controversial and outspoken nature, expressed relief following the incident.
Born Habeeb Okikiola, Portable gained fame in December 2021 with the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
Since then, he has been in the public eye for many controversial reasons.
