A video has emerged showing a filling station selling petrol at N210 per litre despite the federal government denial on the alleged increment.

The denial by the federal government of a fuel hike has not deterred as some fuel stations have continued to sell petrol above N200 per litre.

This is coming even after the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation restated that the price of petrol has not been increased following an outcry the report incited, an update which made the Petroleum Products Pricing Agency (PPPRA) delete the post from its official website.

As to what really triggers the reversal of the petrol price earlier announced, It was unclear to DAILY GIST whether pressure was mounted on PPPRA to delete the template to douse public outcry, a move that was not immediately clarified by officials.

Recall also that the Minister of Petroleum, Timipre Sylva had also said that neither he or President Buhari who is the Minister of Petroleum Resources have approved that the pump price of petrol be increased by one naira.

The video has left many Nigerians shocked, as online users lamented that the government of Muhammadu Buhari is intentionally punishing Niigerians.
