An officer of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF has reportedly killed a young man in Anambra state.
The policeman was attached to Otuocha Area Command, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to report, the victim had a disagreement with the police officer at a checkpoint over N100, during which one of them quickly pulled the trigger and shot him dead.
A source who spoke to DAILY POST on the ugly incident shared a gory video of the man’s dead body.
The incident has caused pandemonium in the area as youths protested the action of the police.
It was however not clear if the argument that led to the killing of the youth was payment of N100 bribe or collection of balance for bribe already paid, but police authorities confirmed the incident.
The state police command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga stated that the command was aware of it and had taken control.
He said: “The Police Officer involved has been identified as Inspector Sani Suleiman.
“He has been disarmed and detained for further investigations and internal disciplinarian procedures.”
