DAILY GIST has obtained a video showing the moment one of the ministerial nominees of President Bola Tinubu attended the screening slated by the Senate.
In the video, the nominee identified as Ibrahim Geidam, arrived for the exercise on Friday, August 4, with a walking stick.
Geidam was seen greeting some senators and associates while supporting himself with a stick.
The lawmaker is the immediate past governor of Yobe, succeeded by the national secretary caretaker committee chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni on 29 May 2019.
Recall that President Tinubu had sent supplementary list of ministerial nominees to the Senate.
The new list understood to be second batch was submitted to the senate chamber during plenary on Wednesday by the chief of staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The senate president, Godswill Akpabio, after receiving the list read out the names of the new nominees.
However, it could not be ascertained whether the former governor, said to be 67 years old, used the walking stick as support for injury or any other purpose.
