In what is coming as really shocking development, a 400l student of University of ilorin (UNILORIN) has beaten the hell out of a female lecturer of the institution.
According to some sources on campus who spoke with DAILY GIST on the incident, the student identified simply as Captain Walz is from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty Of Life Sciences while the lecturer is identified as Mrs Zakaria.
Information gathered by DAILY GIST from sources on campus revealed that the student reportedly didn’t undergo the compulsory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and as a result was seeking the lecturer’s help.
An eyewitness while explaining what really happened alleged that; “He Went to the woman’s office to sought (sic) her help for his issue because he didn’t do the SIWES.
“He entered the Woman’s office and started banging the table, the woman abused him and he move (sic) closer to the woman and started slapping the woman.
“The Woman tried to escape but he kept pursuing the woman, the lecturer ran into an office but Captain Walz broke the window and started punching her hardly.
“The woman was calling for help but people weren’t around as the school just resumed on Monday.
“While trying to escape, he pursued the woman till she fell down and had an (sic) head cut, he then strangle (sic) her till she was in coma.”the source added.
When DAILY GIST contacted Mr Kunle Akogun, Director, Corporate Affairs of the University to ask about the incident, his number was not reachable as at the time of publishing this report.
