Some angry Nigerians youths have called on Police operatives to arrest some popular celebrities, including David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, Divine Ikubor, otherwise called Rema, and Williams Uchemba for endorsing and advertising a Ponzi scheme company, RackSterli, which has allegedly scammed and defrauded many people.

People have especially brought up the case of Racksterli, a Ponzi scheme that was promoted largely by popular singer, Davido.

As expected, so many people joined Racksterli when Davido posted them, because they think if Davido is behind them, then it must be legit.

It wasn’t long after that, that the scheme crashed and so many people lost their money.

The celebrities had been seen in many viral videos promoting the platform, prompting people to invest in it.

While promoting the Ponzi scheme, Davido had in a video said; “I wanna introduce you guys to one of the biggest investment platforms in Nigeria. There are a lot of opportunities over there… It has been very, very reliable for the past six months. We’ve had great recommendations,”

The Ponzi-like initiative, owned by one Chidi, popularly known as Blackgold, offers its subscribers different packages, including Standard, Diamond, Premium, Ruby, Platinum, Emerald, Gold up to Topaz. They are 11 in separate packages.

Racksterli CEO, Michael Oti

A check by DAILY GIST few moments ago on the official website, www.racksterli.org showed the RackSterli’s website has crashed, leaving investors due for payment stranded.

Some subscribers who invested in the scheme without getting returns since last year are lambasting the celebrities for promoting it and therefore urged security operatives to arrest them

“All the celebrities that endorsed the scheme should be arrested too. Davido, Williams Uchemba supported the brand and they got us into this. Now the so-called Racksteri investment ran away with our money after buying himself a Brand New G. Wagon days after his accident,” Akintunde Mayowa Johnson, a Racksterli investor said.

When it became a trending issue on social media. Chris Ani, @iamchrisani was among those who shared worries about the scheme, describing it as a ‘full branded scam and Ponzi.’

In his opinion, Nigerians involved in the venture should have learned from similar mouth-watery Ponzi schemes which crashed in recent years. This was after some Nigerians had invested a huge sum in the schemes. The MMM is such a good instance.

Another subscriber, identified as Michael, a Lagosian, said he was yet to collect his money.

Khaled another investor was displeased he could not access the investment platform.

“Hello, I have tried everything, but it’s not working. There was a time I successfully submitted my details but when I tried to log in, it says invalid details. I must have tried over 30 times now,” Khaled stated.

Should Davido, Rema Or Any Other Celebrities Be Held Responsible For The Scams They Promoted?
