The Ekiti state governor, Kayode fayemi has admitted that president Muhammadu Buhari and the APC government at a whole have failed Nigerians by not delivering thier promises made during campaign election.
Fayemi, the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) while speaking on Channels Television, admitted that ruling party had fallen short of the expectations people had before they elected them into power.
He stated that though some of the issues had been rocking the country before the Buhari’s government, however, the present administration should have taken responsibility for not delivering on campaign promises to Nigerians.
Fayemi said: “I’m not going to shy away from the expectations people had before we came to office. I was a leading player in the campaign that brought my principal (President Muhammadu Buhari) to power.
“We promised Nigerians quite a number of things, particularly centering on security, anti-corruption, and on economic growth. Have we been able to attain all of what we promised? Obviously not.”
Meanwhile, Former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, on Friday apologized to God and Nigerians for supporting President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2015 general elections.
Melaye while speaking on Channels TV, also described the agenda of the President ac the “greatest scam that came out of Africa”.
He noted that the Buhari government has failed Nigerians in all aspects from security to economy and infrastructure.
The former lawmaker said, “I apologise to God Almighty who is the Supreme Controller of the universe and to Nigerians for supporting Buhari.”
“The Buhari presidency in 2015 is the greatest scam that came out of Africa, because the subject matter Buhari is the greatest con that came out of Africa.”
