Outrage has trailed the community of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Ile-Ife, Osun State following the release of nude videos alleged to be female students of the institution.
According to report, a man, who identified himself as a graduate of the University allegedly opened a catfish snapchat account and multiple WhatsApp accounts.
His real name is Prince Momoh but impersonated a Snap handle which bears the name, Priscilla to deceive his victims. He also created a group on WhatsApp with the caption, “no boys allowed”
While disguising as a lady, he texted his victims, who were OAU female students and promised to link them with men for a hookup deal that will profit them between N100,000 to N150,000. He also assured them that thier phones will be changed.
He was said to have sent a female body, supposedly said to be him to the victims, while asking them to do the same.
Information circulating online alleged that, he was able to gathered over 1000 nude videos of the students from his trick.
After receiving thier nudes, many of the female students were said to have lost interest in the hookup deal, owing to the condition of five rounds of s£x attached to it.
A video of him, confessing and claiming responsibility for the alleged act later surfaced while apologizing to OAU students.
DAILY GIST has reached out to the Public Relations Officer, PRO of the University, Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju on the development but was yet to respond to the texts sent to him as of the time of publishing this report.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the shocking development. While some blamed both parties, many others believed influence of peer pressure and financial struggles may have played roles in the decision of female students involved.
