A Nigerian woman has been reportedly forced to bathe with the same water she used in washing her late husband‘s corpse as part of an age-old tradition to prove she had no hand in his death.
This was revealed in a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, where it was stated that the practice has been in existence for generations.
In some cases, women may even be compelled to drink the water as further proof of their innocence.
Following the emergence of a video showing the act, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to express their thoughts.
