A Nigerian lady carrying an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) has detonated bomb at a wedding ceremony in Gwoza town, Borno State.
The blast killed the woman, her baby, and six others, while several other injured victims are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Gwoza.
Eyewitnesses report that the assailant, who had a baby strapped to her back, infiltrated the wedding venue and triggered the explosive device.
The tragic event took place on Saturday at Tashan Mararaba, near the Fire Service in Gwoza town.

It said the incident led to the death of eight individuals and injuries to fifteen others.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, the explosion occurred on June 29, 2024, around 3:40 PM
