In a spectacular beginning and moment of history making, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, CEO and Managing Director, MD of Edo State Flood, Erosion and Watershed Management Agency, FEWMA, officially assumed office yesterday at Block D in the state secretariat complex.
Following opening prayers, Ahmed Musa Momoh went into meeting with his team behind closed door at the conference room.
The FEWMA CEO emphasized the need for collaboration and unity as a tool towards attaining the agency’s objectives under Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
He acknowledged the importance of leveraging the skills and dedication of staff to achieve sustainable results in managing flood and erosion menace across the state, noting that he has come to deliver on Mr. Governor’s campaign promises to Edo people.
During the interface, he expressed his optimism for the agency’s potentials to make significant strides in environmental management.
The FEWMA top brass thanked Governor Okpebholo for appointing him to head the agency, affirming that him and his team would make the Governor proud through their revolutionary strides.
“Insha Allahu, l and my team are going to make the Governor proud as well as the people of Edo state through our relentless pursuit in tackling flooding, erosion and watershed related challenges in the state.
He outlined his vision and priorities for the agency and the need for innovative approaches, transparency, and proactive strategies in tackling the challenges ahead.
On their part, the staff, speaking through Mrs Paulin Okudia expressed their readiness to work under his leadership while pledging their loyalty and commitment to Ahmed Musa in achieving the agency’s objectives.
Religious leaders, critical stakeholders and partners to the agency, friends and well wishers offered prayers to the new CEO as they seek devine guidance, wisdom, protection and smooth working environment for Ahmed Musa and his team.
