There was palpable tension in Patey, Lagos Island as officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) invaded the area and shot sporadically at youths who tried to resist their search operations.
Many youths have been feared dead following the massive shooting, with eyewitnesses and residents in the area expressing fear.
Meanwhile, videos capturing the scenes and showing the officials gunning down the youths have continued to make the rounds on social media.
In a video posted online, the NDLEA officials almost turned the Patey area of Lagos Island to a war zone as sounds of gunshots made waves.
