Three Students of Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife have been selected into the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms.
They are: Clinton Oladayo Alabi, the President of the Tax Club, OAU chapter who is a 500l law student.
The two other students are Faith Omodara, a 400l Economics student & the Club’s PRO and Samuel Ayelagbe who is also in Economics, 400L
The chairman of the committee, Mr Taiwo Oyedele who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu approved the selection.
The students were selected to join the Secteriat of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms as a research assistant and analyst after a rigorous assessment.
DAILY GIST reported that the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms was inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, August 8, at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The committee is chaired by Taiwo Oyedele. Orire Agbaje, a 400-level economics student of the University of Ibadan is also a member.
The committee’s mandate is to review Nigeria’s fiscal and tax policies and to make recommendations for reforms.
The committee is expected to submit its report to the President within six months.
