Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested popular skitmaker and social media influencer, Ubani Zion otherwise known as ZFancy
DAILY GIST gathered that the prankster was arrested in Abuja following allegations of ritual killing.
A security source at the centre who pleaded strict anonymity told newsmen that the prankster was arrested in connection with one of his pranks.
“Zfancy, the popular prankster, had just been arrested by our men a while ago.”
“The prankster had been accused by some persons on social media of being involved in rituals.”the source said.
On June 16, 2024, an entertainer, Dami Adenuga had shared a video of a lady who called out the accused on his Twitter handle formerly known as X.
In the video, the woman who identified herself as Kokina accused the prankster of being involved in ritualism while searching for her missing friend
“This….. matter is looking very real. The Nigeria Police should intervene at this point,” Adenuga said.
The police reacting to the post on its X handle said, “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take allegations of this nature very seriously.
Kindly advise your friend to immediately report at a police station nearest to her.
“You can also contact us immediately on our emergency lines to provide more details so we can initiate a thorough investigation.
Your cooperation is essential to ensure a swift and accurate response. Thank you.”
The Force Spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed his arrest.
Adejobi said, “Yes. It’s in relation to a case of a wrong prank.”
Earlier, a UNILAG fresher, whose identity remains undisclosed, was found abandoned on the roadside in Lekki, Lagos State.
It is alleged that ZFancy was seen driving away from the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
The incident has sparked outrage and garnered widespread attention across social media platforms.
