Nigerian Singer, Tems has clinched the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category at the 67th Academy Grammy Awards.
The prestigious award event is underway at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, United States.
At the 67th Recording Academy Awards, the singer bested a mainly Afrobeats nominated category with only Chris Brown as the non-Afrobeats singer with her love track Love Me Jeje.
The singer edged out a strong field of nominees, including Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Davido, Lojay, Burna Boy, and to secure the coveted award.
Tems, who was nominated in three categories, however, lost the ‘Best R&B Song’ award to US singer Sza.
