A Nigerian lady, Pelumi Nubi who embarked on a solo trip from London, the United Kingdom, to Lagos Nigeria, has been involved in a ghastly car accident.
DAILY GIST recalls that Pelumi had on January 30, 2024, commenced the two month solo trip in a car.
Pelumi Nubi, a travel content creator who has already visited 80 countries, announced her latest attempt via her Instagram page.
According to Nubi, she is taking on this challenge to encourage other female solo travellers, particularly black women, and to challenge preconceived notions about what’s possible
A Peugeot 107 was customized for Pelumi’s journey which features provision for sleeping and dining.
Pelumi said she had done an ideal preparation for the trip by speaking to people that have done similar trips, researching on the policies, the cost, safest route among others.
In a post via her Instagram page on Tuesday, Pelumi shared a picture of the now-wrecked car she had been using for the trip.
The front part of the car was severely mangled while the windscreen had also been shattered.
In the video, she was also seen being carried in an ambulance. She accompanied the post with the caption: “Say a prayer for me”.
It, however, remains unknown which country she was in at the time of the accident and what caused the crash.
