Multichoice has announced a 3-day technical downtime for DSTV and GOtv services.

The company in a statement obtained by DAILY GIST obtained on Saturday cited the current coastal road building project between Lagos and Calabar as the cause for the outage.

It stated that the building project will affect their uplink facility, necessitating a move from their current office site between May 5 and May 7, 2024.

The statement partly reads: “Technical staff will be working nonstop during this time to reduce any hiccups and guarantee a seamless changeover.

Multichoice assured its customers that they will continue to receive the high-quality service and support they have come to expect from DSTV and GOTV, expressing gratitude for their understanding and patience.

Customers may have minor technical outages while their uplink facility is being relocated, the business said. But they promised their clients that their services would be back up and running faster than before.

Moving because of the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road the prevailing coastal road development project between Lagos and Calabar has compelled Multichoice to relocate its uplink site.

It is anticipated that there will be brief interruptions to the DSTV and GOTV services due to this transfer. Multichoice pledged to keep these disruptions to a minimum as the company relocates. Customers were given the reassurance that their technical staff would put in endless effort to guarantee a seamless changeover and promptly restore services.
