Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a prospective corps member identified as Babatunde Nurudeen who was said to be going to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Ogun State on Tuesday.
The father of the victim made this known on Wednesday after his son made a distressed call to one of his family member.
Nurudeen was posted to Ogun state NYSC Orientation camp for Batch B Orientation course where he is expected to use three weeks.
According to Nurudeen’s father, he said his son boarded a bus at Iwo Road, heading to Sagamu.
In his words he said, “I received a distressing call from his brother, who informed me that they had been kidnapped and the kidnappers have already killed two persons from the bus.
”He told me they were being marched into the bush which advised him to cooperate with the kidnappers for his safety.” Since that last conversation I’m unable to reach him back”, disclosed.
DAILY GIST learnt that the driver of the bus has been arrested and taken to Sara Ilemo Police Station in Ibadan Oyo State.
The Public Relations Officer of the Oyo police command, SP Adewale Osifeso could not be immediately reached for comments on the incident.
