The governorship candidate for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos, Dr. Olajide Adediran has announced his resignation from the party.
Adediran is popularly known as JANDOR.
He made the announcement on Monday during a press conference in Ikeja, Lagos.
While he did not disclose his next political move, JANDOR assured that he would make his intentions known in the coming months.
His departure from the PDP comes with the backing of his supporters across the 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos State.
Jandor, a Nigerian politician, journalist, entrepreneur, and technocrat, is the Chairman of the Lagos4Lagos movement.
DAILY GIST recalls that he contested alongside his running mate, a renowned Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, for the 2023 Lagos gubernatorial election.
However, he lost to the poll to incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
