The federal government on Tuesday has released the list of successful N-Power beneficiaries cleared for NEXIT training in Lagos state.
The N-Power scheme enrolled 500,000 beneficiaries made up of 200,000 from Batch A which started in September 2016 and 300,000 from Batch B which kicked off in August 2018.
The beneficiaries were spread across the key industries targeted by the program – Agriculture (NAgro), Health (N-Health), Education (N-Teach), and Tax (N-Tax)
The scheme is the most popular of the National Social Investments Programmes (NSIPs), as it targets youths.
Upon exit of the npower batches A and B beneficiaries in 2020, Nigerian authorities set up the npower Exit (NEXIT) portal in collaboration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to enable exited N-power beneficiaries log on to and “apply for the various economic, empowerment and entrepreneurship options provided by the CBN.”
To access the options, exited beneficiaries provided the required information for placements into CBN ‘s intervention options. They are expected to get at least N3 million repayable funding support from Nigeria’s apex bank on completion of their training.
