The Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO) office in Oshodi, Lagos state, near Cappa Bus Stop, has been gutted by a raging fire.
The fire, it was learnt broke out in the wee hours of Thursday, rescue operations were still ongoing.
Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) are battling to contain the blaze and prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining offices and buildings.
According to informations gathered, no casualties have been reported
However, the fire has caused significant destruction, with property worth millions of naira reduced to ashes.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remains unknown.
