The release of Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, from prison custody has been reportedly extended.
The cross-dresser was billed to be released on Monday, July 29 as fans anticipate his freedom
However, his release has now been delayed due to an alleged miscalculation.
DAILY GIST recalls that the self-acclaimed “Mummy Of Lagos” was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12, 2024, after he pleaded guilty to Naira abuse.
Fans eagerly awaited his release, only to be met with disappointment as new information surfaced.
Content creator and social commentator, Tosin Silverdam reported that a miscalculation led to a reassessment of the release date.
Silverdam revealed that Bobrisky’s team, who arrived to pick him up from prison, were informed of the error and that the new release date has been set for Monday, August 5, 2024.
The update has been met with frustration from his supporters, who had already begun their celebrations over the anticipated release.
