The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday has announced Fuad Kayode-Laguda as the winner of the primary election into the vacant Surulere 1 Federal Constituency, Lagos.
Laguda is expected to replace Femi Gbajabiamila, former speaker of the House of Representatives , who represented the Lagos constituency before his appointment as Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu.
In the election, which held at the Teslim Balogun stadium, on Saturday, Laguda defeated other contestants to clinch the party ticket for the forthcoming election in the constituency.
The nationwide bye-election into vacant seats is scheduled for February 3.
