Some contenders jostling for the vacant stool of alaafin have called on Governor seyi makinde to take over from oyomesi before it becomes a disastrous situation.
DAILY GIST had reported earlier that the Bashorun and head of Oyomesi, Yusuf Akinade said kingmakers unanimously selected Lukuman Gbadegesin as the next Alaafin of Oyo
This was contained in a statement made available to Reporters on Tuesday night.
According to him, the selection of Lukuman Gbadegesin for appointment as the next Alaafin of Oyo followed due process.
However, in a statement made available to DAILY GIST on Thursday, Prince Ibrahim Oriade said contenders are completely dissatisfied with the selection process.
According to him, they were told during the peace meeting that they would consult oracle for the selection of a candidate to the vacant stool of alaafin, but they never did.
Prince Oriade said the Kingmakers had assured all the conteders of oracle consultation but now deviating from reality.
