The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will take place from 16th to 25th April 2026.
An optional Mock-UTME is scheduled for 28th March 2026.
Candidates can begin UTME registration from 26th January to 28th February 2026, while e-PINs will be available from 19th January to 26th February.
Direct Entry applications will run from 2nd March to 25th April 2026.
Applicants must generally be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
Younger candidates may be considered if they pass a special evaluation covering UTME, SSCE, PUTME, and other assessments.
UTME candidates need a minimum of five credit passes, including English, in no more than two sittings.
Direct Entry applicants also need at least five credit passes, with at least two at Principal or Advanced level.
Registration involves creating a profile with the NIN, buying an e-PIN, and completing registration at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
Special support will be provided for candidates with disabilities, and only HB pencils are allowed in exam halls.
