Is Corruption Nigeria’s Most Biggest Problem ?

African most populated country, Nigerian has encounter most challenges and difficulties in it’s rising as a developing country, it’s research and human capital development are faced with enormous challenges, these challenges which include adequate funding, lack of awareness, lack of implementation of research result, good governance, securities around the country etc corruption in Nigerian which is been highlighted has it’s most biggest obstacles to Nigeria progress could be seen as a step to a progressive Nation as there are also other negativity obstructing the progress of the state, here are some of the heightened issue’s that need to also be examined as its biggest problematic issue surrounding the country.

PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTRY

The crisis in the country has festered for about two decades, various emerging president of Nigeria has continue to implement different amnesty program to tackled the issue, however the unity of the country will continued blinking if the security concern are not truely examined, Sec 14 of the 1999 constitution which lay down the Paramount responsibility of every governments which is the protection of life and property of its people as continue to be questionable as the government has not done enough, the crisis and insurgency in the northern part of the country has live a negative interpretation to foreign investors and many others who would have find the country a lasting place for their activities
The problem which is confronting Nigerian could as well be seen as the underdevelopment of the country, our society which consist of communal groups and ethic groups extended families and lineages has become a solidarity and political groups in various States, for Nigerian to experience growth at every side in a substantiable way it is fundamental that public institutions, law enforcement and social securities should be independent and exercised is duties in accordance to their law irrespective of whoever in power.

Secondly the underdevelopment of the nations which is one of the biggest challenge’s is as a result of the inability to provide Nigerians with a sense of ownership of a larger society in the country, it is also time to provide Nigerians with reach data and information from the government rooms that can provide the necessary development and robust policy analysis

GOOD GOVERNANCE AND ELECTORAL REFORMS

Previous and recent president has taken steps to demonstrate commitment towards good governance while this were good steps the problem of political patronage remains the bane of political and economic progress in the nation, past and present leaders have failed to identify who should do business in Nigerian and how this business should be run, inability to give attentions to things that really matter to its people this and many other is seen as the biggest problem hindering the nation development, the electoral process of the country needs to be examined as well the inability in us of paving a transparent elections in absence of fear or favour, has been the hindrance of a better country,

In summary for a developing nation to attain a developed Nation there’s need for a total overhaul in every arms of government, need for an updated constitution, need for a restructuring, and need for a closer transparent government and the people.
