DAILY GIST has interviewed Afolabi Mary, a female student of Obafemi awolowo university, Ile-Ife Osun state behind the viral animal science voice note on WhatsApp.
Recall that a viral voice note surfaced online, wherein the female student could be heard blasting a guy that he is not her type.
The voice note is currently trending on social media and has continued to set tongues wagging.
Although, according to Mary, people got the wrong impression of the voice note because only her own part of the conversation was posted online and circulated
However, she shared the full conversation and speaks about the whole incident in an exclusive interview with DAILY GIST on Monday, February 7th.
She also told DAILY GIST, some public figure persons who have contacted her since the voice note surfaced online.

DAILY GIST: Good day, can you please tell us your full name ?
Mary: My name is Afolabi Ayokunnu.
DAILY GIST: What department are you in OAU ?
Mary: Biochemistry
DAILY GIST: What level or part ?
Mary: 200L
DAILY GIST: The voice note you did is currently making waves on social media, how did the whole incident happen ?
Mary: We were catching cruise and abusing each other and the guy is my friend and he is In my department but people only got my part of the VN and posted it not getting our full conversation
DAILY GIST: How did you meet the guy you were speaking to in the voice note
Mary: I met him in our department and we became friends kinda close too.
DAILY GIST: What’s his name ?
Mary: Kenny
DAILY GIST: Did you mean you are in the same department and class with the guy?
Mary: Yes, he is also in Biochemistry, 200L
DAILY GIST: Did he really ask you out ?
Mary: No, he didn’t
DAILY GIST: Since the voice note surfaced online, it has generated a lot of controversies on social media, how are you feeling presently about it ?
Mary: Actually I am okay, though I felt a little bit bad at first because people got the wrong impression but it’s fine
DAILY GIST: How has been your movement on campus since the incident happened?
Mary: Movement ke, most people don’t know the real story and they have bad impression about me so my movement is restricted

Mary: No
DAILY GIST: Why did you choose broda shagii to do this for you and not anyone else?
Mary: I was under pressure so I believe if he do it people will be able to realize that it’s pure cruise and nothing else
DAILY GIST: There are claims that you were admitted first into zoology before changing to Biochemistry … How true is this ?
Mary: I leave anybody to decide that because I feel that is my private life
DAILY GIST: Apart from being a student, Are you into any side hustle?
Mary: Yes, I sell breast tape, sneakers and I tie nice gele, everybody should patronize me
DAILY GIST: You have gained popularity after the incident, How did you feel about this?
Mary: Well it’s good but also d popularity is based on hatred I think
DAILY GIST: Did you receive backlash whatsoever from anyone on the incident?
Mary: Yes, a lot of people and I could only explain to few of them

Mary: Yes
